Kitten, Kinsale, and Snow... oh my!

A lot has gone on in the past two days. Here is the Reader's Digest version... Friday: volunteered bright and early, bought my first Christmas tree, was flipped off while driving for the first time (that I'm aware of), adopted a kitten (yay!), baked gingerbread cookies with Adam and Jill (aka ate half the dough...), and watched Elf to kick-off the holiday season... Saturday: not nearly as busy but still exciting thanks to the first snow while pouring and mixing drinks at the Inn! It's funny how snow has the ability to transform me into a giddy little girl. The world becomes quiet. Peaceful.
The kitten is doing well during her first few days. She's a bit skittish, but she seems to be adjusting. The biggest problem remains her name. I can't make up my mind. People are throwing names at me willy-nilly and I'm becoming more and more confused. Tessie was a possibility, due to it's Red Sox reference. Chloe seemed adorable. Bella was the first name that came to mind. Ultimately, though, I think I'm going to call her Luna. It's unique and also relates to the time I adopted her. This month we will have a blue moon (which means two full moons in one month... the first came on the 1st, the next on New Year's Eve!). I like that her name has a slightly deeper meaning (plus, she's darker in color and seems to have a mysterious character... somewhat like the night... yes, it's a stretch, but what the heck?!). If anyone knows something better, by all means let me know! I'll keep you updated as the weeks go on :)
